Ekta Mahotsava is celebrated at Ghuisarnath Dham on each Maha Shivratri. The special nature of the day and the night of Mahashivarathri presents us with a unique opportunity to make use of the forces of nature for our well-being. Also in the Signers, Magicians this night celebrates the Grace of Shiva, who is enjoyed by people from whom the cultural tradition originates.
Given the potentials of this occasion, Mahashivarathri is celebrated with great pomp and vigor at Ghuisarnath Dham. Over 10 Lakhs people and around 100 artists participate in the unique nightlong gathering with Organizer Committee.
The celebrations begin at 6:00 pm after Baba Ghuisarnath Pooja - paying of obeisance by Mahant Shiv Mutri Ji to the great beings of the past, whose efforts have approved as tourism palce this Ghuisarnath Dham. Cultural programs include performances by world renowned classical and contemporary musicians and artistes.
Ekta Mahotsav Samiti : The Organising Committee
The Deptt. of Tourism, Govt. of UP organise committee as "Ekta Mahotsav Samiti, Ghuisarnath Dham" under the Chairmanship of Ghuisarnath Dham Mandir Prabandhan from 1996. This Mahotsav Samiti is registered under Societies Act, 1860. The Local Officers of Tourism Deptt. works as Secretary of Samiti; whereas, other senior Govt. officers like District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, Police Officers etc. are entrusted with different responsibilities as members of the Mahotsav Samiti, Grants received from Govt. of UP and the Govt. of India are the major financial resources for samiti to organize such events.
